The length and style of a wine description should be tailored to suit the character of the publication and the needs of the target audience, i.e. the back label of a bottle for sale in a hypermarket should have a different type of wine description than the data sheet or the shelf talk of a premium wine.

In many cases, consumers or commercial partners come across websites where the most recent entry in the “News and updates” section is two or three years old. Obviously it’s not because nothing has happened since then, but there’s no writing talent at hand or time to do the job.
